He's Home!!

I barely slept last night in anticipation. At 6:30 this morning I got the call to come get my husband I've missed so much. I took the girls with us and we picked him up from the airport. I hugged him so tight didn't want to let him go.

Happy Birthday John Carter!!

7 lbs and 3 oz bundle of joy arrived at 9:40 this morning! Can't wait to meet him :)

It Came.

My period came today. So that means no baby. This is now the second month that we've tried and it hasn't happened. It makes me really sad. I thought it would be easier than this. I called Rex to let him know what happened and he was so disappointed. So was I. So I stared to cry. He told me everything was going to be okay and that we would keep trying until it happens. Good things come to those who wait he says. I know I need to just relax and be patient so that's what I have to do.

Five On Friday

1. My husband comes home this weekend!! Thank goodness. I miss that guy way too much.

2. My best friend is having a diaper party tomorrow. I can't believe he's going to be a dad to a little girl.

3. My parents went of town for the weekend so I have to watch their dog.

4. I am really late so I think we may have done it this time.

5. John Carter should make his arrival any day now!

Still Waiting

Either my period is super late or I'm pregnant...

I love that Rex is so excited about having a baby with me. I love him so much and I cannot wait to start a family with him. And grow old with him. And spoil grand babies with him. I really wish he didn't have to be out of town right now. He's supposed to be back on Sunday night so as of know the plan is to take another pregnancy test on Monday morning. I want to wait for him so we can rejoice in the moment together  It just wouldn't be right if he wasn't there in front of me to hug and kiss. I'm so excited for that moment..

Just Engaged!

My friend Christina is getting married! She and her fiance have been together for over five years and have lived together pretty much the whole time. They are a wonderful couple and I'm so happy they are finally getting married!

We met up for dinner at the Olive Garden tonight. We talked about life, marriage, babies, and the good ole days. It was really nice. I haven't seen her in a long time and I'm glad we got to catch up.

Four Days Late

And still. A negative result.

This morning we woke up and met my sister for breakfast at this cute little place called Seven Mile Cafe. Then we said our goodbyes and headed back to Houston.

The Art Museum And Grassy Knoll

Today we woke up and had breakfast at the hotel. Mine was free after I "liked" the hotel on Facebook.

We went to the Dallas Museum of Art:

The Chagall exhibit was really weird and interesting  He painted backdrops and costumes for plays and painted a mural for the ceiling of a theater. His work was dark and ominous with bursts of reds and blues.

Little Road Trip To The Big D

My dad and I took a little road trip to meet up with my sister in Dallas. 

The roads were lined with bluebonnets the whole time. It was so beautiful. When we stopped at a rest stop we noticed this 18 wheeler that had been burnt to a crisp. Of course, I had to take a picture of it.

We got in around 6 and checked into our hotel. This was the view from our room. It was so pretty.

We picked up my sister and her boyfriend and went out to dinner at the restaurant he works at. That boy can cook. The food was amazing! And then I got this text. Those damn dogs can get into everything.

Five On Friday

1. My dad and I randomly decided to go visit my sister this weekend. She has no idea we're coming!

2. Rex and I learned that we have separation anxiety. When we're apart we just don't feel right like we can't eat.

3. John Carter could come any day now. Can't wait to meet him!

4. On Monday I'm jumping on the bandwagon and going raw for one week. #rawweek2013

5.  If I don't start my period tomorrow I could possibly be pregnant! I'm taking a test with me out of town. But I'm really bummed Rex won't be here.

Goodbye My Lover

Rex left for work out of town again. This time for a week. I hate it when he leaves. But then I think about how incredibly selfish I am for wanting him to stay just because I'll miss him. He's doing this for work and we need the money so I have to put on a smile and be supportive of my husband. When I got home from work I picked him up and we grabbed some food before he had to leave. We had no idea they were tapping a keg of divine reserve.

I dropped him off at his coworkers house. It was so hard. I hugged him tightly and cried in his arms. I told him over and over again how much I loved him. Much like he did to me on our wedding day. We kissed and said our final goodbyes. My eyes were full of tears. As I drove home my heart was slowly breaking. I really wish he didn't have to go...

My Lunch Date

I met my brother and niece at a local Mediterranean restaurant. She was being a total cutie! And she loves tzaziki sauce. That's why it's all over her face.

That Time We Waited Five Hours For Ribs

Our friends invited us over for lunch today. They were smoking a rack of ribs. We thought they would be cooking by the time we got there but apparently they didn't put them on until 1 and we got there at 1:30. I was starving and was forced to wait five hours so eat. When we finally did eat it was so delicious! They did a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

Happy Birthday Adam // Congrats Heather!

Today was Rex's brothers birthday so we went over to his place for some barbecue and birthday cake. While we there Rex's mom told us that his cousin and her husband are expecting their first child. We are so very happy for them! Now we need to really hurry up and pop one out so our babies can be buddies.
