So Long September

Wow. This month has a been a great one. Definitely the best September I've ever had. Even though I felt sick and tired all the time I'm still so incredibly thankful for this baby growing inside me. Rex has been super sweet and supportive through all of this. He is going to be a wonderful father to our little baby. I am extremely grateful for this beautiful life of mine.

The Great Gatsby

Tonight we rented The Great Gatsby from Redbox. I've been wanting to see it but waiting until it was out to rent. Now I'm so glad I didn't pay to watch it in theaters. Undid not like it at all. I loved the book but the movie was just terrible. And the music was awful. Overall, I was not pleased.

Midnight Craving

You know in the movies where the pregnant woman sends her husband to the grocery store in the middle of the night to get ice cream? Well that's me. Around 1:30am I was really craving an ice cream sandwich so my wonderful husband happily drove to the gas station to satisfy my craving. Love him.

Surf Sunday

My friend Leah was staying the night in Galveston so Rex and I went down there so he could surf with her husband and we could talk about being pregnant. After the guys finished we grabbed dinner at Papa's Pizza and took it back to their hotel room to eat and hang out. 

Please Stop The Complaining!

I recently joined a Facebook group for pregnant woman and it's really starting to bother me. So many of these pregnant women just constantly complain about something. They even go so far as to say they "hate being pregnant". Either they can't eat, they're always tired, or they complain because they don't have any pregnancy symptoms. Or they'll constantly worry and complain about having a miscarriage. I don't understand why they have to always point out the negatives! I would love to find a positive support group of pregnant woman who are happy to be pregnant. Is that too much to ask for?!

Tired Little Puppy

We took the dogs to Jack Brooks Park with us today. It was so nice to be outside and walking around. Unfortunately, it was really hot so we didn't finish all the holes, just the first nine. But that was enough for the dogs too. Perfect example: Otis passed out on the floorboard. 

My Mantra Today

Hello Baby!

Today I had my first ultrasound and we got too see our little blessing :) I'm measuring right on track at eight weeks and everything looks good! I couldn't be happier. 

The Cat Is Officially Out Of the Bag!

I'M PREGNANT!!!

Last night at my cousins birthday dinner I announced it to everyone who was there. It wasn't the way I wanted it to be and that makes me a little mad. Rex wasn't there and my brother and sister weren't there. I was rushed into it. I was waiting for 'the perfect moment' but it never came. A few people asked if we were still trying and I replied  with, "no, we stopped trying." And they didn't ask why we stopped so I didn't say anything then. After we finished eating my cousin gave a thank you toast then turned the attention to me. I was beyond nervous and just blurted it out, "I'm pregnant!" Ha. Now it's really real. I have my first prenatal appointment tomorrow at 3!

Grandparents Day

Originally I had wanted to get the family together for lunch or dinner but that didn't happen. I'm still feeling really sick and throwing up everything. Thank goodness my dad came over and brought me some medicine and gatorade. Now I have to just wait and sleep away the pain..

Still Sick

Yup. That damn dinner last night gave me a stomach bug. I tried to eat soup and crackers but I just throw it up. I try to drink water and I just throw it up. I'm currently laying in bed watching Seinfeld with a bucket next to me. Rex has friends over and I can hear them talking about me while I'm puking. "Is she ok in there? Maybe she's pregnant." All he says is, "yeah, she's fine." Umm no sir, I'm not "fine". Thanks for noticing. Ugh.

Dinner at Angelo's

Tonight I went to dinner with my friend Ashton. I ordered ravioli instead of my usual fettuccini alfredo. Big mistake. As soon as I got home I started feeling really nauseous. A little later I was in the bathroom puking my guts out. It really sucks. I feel like death.

I Finally Changed My Last Name

Over eight months of marriage and I just now got around to changing my last name. Cristen picked me up and we went together since she needed to change her last name too. I couldn't completely drop my maiden name so I just made it my middle name. I never really liked my middle name anyways.

My cousin Jamie had a doctors appointment close to my job so she asked if I would meet her there to watch Coleton while she was with the doctor. Of coure I agreed because Coleton is adorable and so well behaved. We walked around the hospital looking at cool stuff then we went to the cafeteria and ate some fruit. His favorite fruit is canelope and he wouldnt eat the pineapple. He's a funny kid.

Labor Day

And I got a ticket. I had received new plates when I renewed my registration but I never put them on. Tonight that came back to bite me in the ass. He pulled me over because he thought I was driving a stolen car since the plates were for a 1976 truck. When he looked at my insurance he brought it to my knowledge that it was expired. By three days! Ahhh I couldn't believe it. I'm so mad!! Damn you Mr. Policeman!! Go eat a donut and leave me alone.

Nine Months

Today we have been married for nine whole months. This past month was the best month ever and I hope it just keeps getting better and better! Love you babe!
