Happy Halloween!

I went trick or treating with my nieces in my parents neighborhood. I'm horrible and only took one picture. It's a good one though. 

Yesterday we went out on the boat. It had been a long time for me. The weather was absolutely perfect, as you can see. 

 

Fifteen Weeks

How far along? 15 weeks

Total weight gain? Not sure

Best moment this week: hearing and seeing the baby's heartbeat

Miss Anything? Raw Oysters

Movement: none yet 

Food Cravings: tuna salad

Anything making you queasy or sick: cheese ravioli (I love them but baby obviously doesn't) and I still hate breakfast

Gender Prediction: I think girl, Rex thinks boy

Symptoms: headaches and occasional morning sickness because I'm always hungry

Belly Button in or out? in

Wedding rings on or off? off

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy to be pregnant but annoyed with Rex, sometimes for no reason

Looking forward to: growing a bump and feelings movements

Baby Names? I love the names Seven (boy), Brody (boy), Riley (girl) and Bailey (girl). Rex hasn't suggested any. 

Thoughts: I'm not eating as well as I should be. We don't grocery shop enough and end up eating out too often. 

Yacht Club Sunset

My parents got stranded last night at the yacht club so I had to go pick them up. I just couldn't resist snapping a photo of the beautiful horizon. 

Bay Area Birthing Center

Their ultrasound machine is super old so you can't really tell what it is but it is most definitely a baby! The heartbeat was 156bpm and I could see it blinking on he screen. It was so cool. My first ultrasound didn't go as well as I had hoped but this time was much better. My mom was with me so it was a really awesome experience for both of us. 

Fourteen Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks (second trimester!)

Total weight gain? I'm down 4lbs

Best moment this week: being able to still sleep on my stomach

Miss Anything? coffee in the morning

Movement: not yet, just gas

Food cravings: candy and ice cream

Thoughts: I'm a little nervous because I don't have a visible bump yet and I haven't had an ultrasound since 8 weeks. I pray that everything is ok and baby is healthy and growing. I have an appointment at the birthing center tomorrow so hopefully they'll let me hear the heartbeat on a doppler.

Sitting outside my parents house enjoying the view this evening. 

Pink Panther

So I'm laying on the couch watching tv and I hear the ice cream man. At first I didn't want to get up but after a minute or two I jumped up and grabbed a few ones. They didn't have my first or second choice ice cream so I settled with the pink panther, an homage to my summers at the beach house as a child. 

Practice

Edgard called this morning and asked if I could babysit for a few hours. I need the practice, he told me. I really do so I agreed. It was only for two hours so it wasn't bad. The hardest part was trying to mix Easy Mac with one arm while holding a baby. Afterwards, I realized they had a Bumbo so that was a lifesaver and another thing to add to the list of needed baby items. Sariah was such a good baby though. She just hung out in her swing and only cried when she was hungry. Then fell asleep while eating. Piece of cake.

Thirteen Weeks

Hello second trimester!!

Baby Porter is the size of a peach! About 3 inches long and .8 ounces.

 I'm hoping the morning sickness will go away soon so I can feel normal again.

Quote Of The Day

So I'm hovering over the toilet and Rex walks in and says,

"I'm sorry you're feeling like shit babe... but I'm so happy you're pregnant with my baby."

He's such a sweetheart.

Wanted Baby Item:

A Bugaboo stroller... Either the Chameleon3 or the Buffalo. 

I showed Rex their website and he watched all the videos for each stroller and I'm pretty sure I have him sold. He's not too fond of the price so we're going to look on craigslist and possibly buy a used one. I would rather just ask a few generous family members to all pitch in and get us a brand new one. Honestly I don't care that much either way.

Rex Got A New Job!

I'm so happy for him. He's doing the same thing but with a new company. I hope this turns out to be a great thing. We need it right now, especially with this little angel on its way!

Twelve Weeks and Still Bumpless

Baby is the size of a plum! About 2 inches long and .5 ounces. 

I'm having all of the normal pregnancy symptoms but I still don't look pregnant or have even the slightest bump. I've even lost four pounds. I don't get it. It makes me want to get another ultrasound (which I didn't want to do until 20 weeks) like tomorrow just to have that assurance that the baby is healthy and growing. 

12th Annual BIRTH Fair

BIRTH stands for Bringing Information and Resources To Houston. My mom went with me and we learned about vaccines, holistic health, water birth, and birthing centers. There were tons of other things going on at the same time so those were the ones I was most interested in. It was a really great event. I'm so glad I found out about it and actually went. I learned so much and I'm so excited about this pregnancy. Being around strong women who believe in natural birth was such a wonderful feeling.

Morning Sickness Sucks

Without fail, every morning, I feel sick and throw up. It's just bile and it's so gross. I try to eat things that are easy on my stomach but don't start to feel normal until at least 2pm. Being pregnant is truly a sacrifice. But it will be worth it!

Lizard Hunting

Ten Months

I can't believe it's just two more months until our one year anniversary. I wish I could relive that day all over again. Ten months and still loving every minute of it.
