Five On Friday

1. My friend Lauren is in town from Chicago so I'm going to meet up with her for dinner or something this weekend.

2. Rex and I got into a fight this morning and it messed up my whole day. Seems like we've fought a lot this week.

3. I found a tripod. Now I don't have to beg Rex to take pictures of me.

4. I cannot stop drinking coke. I tell myself it's horrible and I shouldn't drink it but then I get hungry and crave a cold coke to wash it all down with. Please help me.

5. We have a few fun things planned for this weekend. Hopefully we have perfect weather so we can get out and take the dogs to do something.

This little lady is THREE years old today!

This is her at 9 months... 

 It's so crazy because it feels like just yesterday Leah called to tell me she was pregnant. Now she's married and raising the sweetest little angel.

This Morning

I woke up whimpering like my dog from a horrible dream. In my dream I was really angry and yelling at everyone. I tried to scream as loud as I could but nothing would come out. I was grabbing everyone and just shaking them trying to he them to listen to me. But no one was listening. Or cared. When I woke up I cried out to Rex but he was outside walking the dog. When he came back in I made him lay down with me and spoon me for a little while. I felt better just being in his arms. While there I cried as I told him what my dream was about. Poor guy had no idea what to say. He didn't understand why I was crying. I don't understand why I was crying. 

Close Call

Tonight I thought Emma was going to die. She threw up twice and started acting weird and wouldn't move. At first she was breathing really heavy but then it got really slow and I started to freak out and cry. Rex got mad at me because I was crying and freaking Emma out so that caused me to cry even more. I called my dad and he calmed me down. See Rex had freaked me out by saying he thought Emma got bit by a snake. But my dad was telling me it sounded more like she ate something bad. So that made me feel better. She was just sick and needed to rest.

Argo

Totally justified winning the Oscar for best movie. It was so damn good. I was on the edge of my seat at the end. So many close calls. My palms and feet were sweating I was so nervous for them. But in the end they all made it out. My favorite part was the screenshots of the movie next to actual photos of events.

Madison's 2nd Birthday Party!

My sister and I spent the day at my brothers house helping them get ready for the birthday party tomorrow.

While my sister was spending quality time with Madison I was working on the backdrop for pictures (see first picture). Kim's brother came over to help decorate the ceiling (second picture) and we made the Backpack goody bags (third picture) on Wednesday.

My little angel is two years old today!

She is the sweetest, cutest, smartest little girl I know and I'm so blessed to call her my niece.

Court Day/Date Night

We ventured downtown to the courthouse way too early this morning just for it to be reset. While I was waiting outside I noticed I was wearing basically the same thing as the lady next to me. Striped shirt, pants, and a red jacket. As I sat there I thought about how I dress. I dress like I did when I was 18. But now that I'm getting older I need to focus more on dressing better.

The best part about being downtown today was lunch at Juan Mon's. That place is seriously the best sandwich place in Houston, hands down. They've done some renovations and made some changes to the building and I'm really liking what they've got going on. There's a small stage outside and a cool little bar area. If we lived closer I'm sure we would hang out there more often.

When we got home we immediately went back to bed and took a 3 hour nap. When we woke up we were both starving. Rex was craving seafood and I immediately thought Floyd's. A second later Rex says, "Wanna go to Floyd's?" I love when that happens. We are so in sync. The food was delicious. The evening was delightful. Now I'm watching tv while Rex sleeps. He has to work early in the morning and I don't. And now I'm craving ice cream.

Party Preparations

Madison's birthday party is this Sunday so my sister in law asked my mom and I if we could come over and help her get a few things ready for the party. My mom helped cut out eyes and mouths to make backpack goody bags while I drew letters on the "pin the tail on Swiper" game and the "birthday dreams" poster. I still can't believe she's going to be two years old. She has grown up so much in the past few months especially now since she's been talking. I love her so much its unbelieveable. We cannot wait to give her little cousins to play with.

While I was there she grabbed me and said, "Picture Tina!" She already knows how much I love taking pictures of her. I asked her what she wanted to take a picture of and she ran over to her pinata. I asked her where she wanted to take the picture and she ran into the living room and jumped on the chair. She is so perfect. I foresee a lifetime of moments like this one.

Yesterday

I rode with my mom (and her dog) to Austin to take my grandmother home. She came with my aunt and cousin for Brooke's birthday and decided to stay for Easter to spend some time with my dad. 

On the way there we called my aunt and she agreed to meet us at a little place outside of Austin called Berdoll's. They have the most delicious pecans and fudge.

I should have bought this shirt. I love it.

Today

I went back to work. For a day. My boss is going to Carthage for a trial and he won't be back until next week. Side note: You need to get on Netflix right now and watch the comedy "Bernie". It's a great movie and Jack Black's best role ever. The character played by Matthew McConaughey is the DA my boss is going up against on this trial. He is not as handsome in real life, just so you know.

This little lady is FIVE years old today!

Four Months

We hit a small rough patch this month. You stressed out about money and bills. I told you everything would work out, we're gonna be fine. We are. And I know we always will be. I get bitchy sometimes but you totally know how to handle me. You hurt my feeling sometimes but you're so quick to apologize. I love that about you. I love that we can argue and talk it out and make up. We got this.

Astros Opening Day

The Astros are now in the American League so we played the Rangers for Opening Day tonight. My dad got season tickets this year so it's an exciting year for two reasons. We've never had season to tickets for baseball (just football) so this is pretty exciting. Summer time is coming up and nothing's better than baseball games, beer, and hot dogs on a beautiful summer day.

I was early when taking that^ picture. It was actually our 4,000th win! Go 'Stros!

Easter Sunday
