1. I can leave my house without make up on.
2. I don't watch The Bachelorette. Never have, never will.
3. I didn't read Fifty Shades of Grey and have absolutely no interest in ever reading it.
4. I don't post selfies on Instagram constantly.
5. I don't drink Starbucks.

Buying For An Unborn Child
I'm not pregnant yet but I'm not giving up until I am. I bought a Winnie the Pooh growth chart from the thrift store but I don't want to start buying stuff that I may never get to use. Do other people to that? Buy stuff for an unborn child.
Other things I already want to buy for my child that has yet to be conceived: organic clothing, non-toxic teething toys, a BabyBullet to make my own baby food, an amber necklace for teething, a bugaboo stroller, Freshly Picked moccasins, and a Sakura Bloom ring sling.

Dog Surfing
Today was the annual dog surfing competition in Galveston. We didn't find out about it until 1 (it ended at 3) but we still went out there with Mya and a surfboard to get some practice. We took video with the GoPro but I haven't uploaded it yet. It's only 365 more days 'til next years competition!! Gotta start training now!

Cookie
My uncle Hank sent me this picture of my aunt and her baby cookie. They're training her to be ridden and I can't wait to ride her! She's getting so big. Hopefully we can plan a trip out there soon to see all of my Austin family.

Flashback Friday
The worst year of my life to date was seventh grade. My mom got a job at a Catholic school in Pasadena so my sister and I both went there.
Today Rex picked me up from work and we went to the Saint Arnold Brewery which is literally two minutes from the office I work at. We get inside and we're walking to get a beer and this girl comes up to me. It was this girl named April who I had gone to the catholic school with. She tells me she's there with another girl, Amaris, who also went to school with us and who's mom worked in the front office of the school. I said hello and to both of them and introduced them to Rex and got out of there as soon as I could.
I was immediately flooded with emotions. I started to think back about that school and that year that will forever haunt me. I hated the way all of the other kids treated me. They had all been going to school together since they were three so they had no reason to get to know me or welcome me. When I saw those two girls i immediately started to feel the same way I felt back then when I was just thirteen and trying to deal with the stresses of being a teenager. I felt so insecure and uncomfortable in my surroundings. I just wanted to get outta there.
To try and calm the feeling I decided to drink a beer. I don't drink because I'm trying to get pregnant so I'm really regretting it now. I sat there with Rex and his friend that met us up there and we played dominos at the table right next to the two girls. Less than ten feet away. I couldn't stop thinking about them and that awful place.
Then I remembered the ONLY good thing that came out of that horrible place. My friend Sela. I texted her and she made me feel better.

This Little Nugget Right Here
Cristen and the kids came over this evening to hang out and watch some tv. They were being so cute, as usual. For dinner I made spaghetti and meatballs using fresh tomatoes and grass-fed beef we got at the farmers market last weekend. It was delicious.

Alamo Tamale
The best tamales in town. I get the brisket ones and highly recommend them. Rex and I went there for lunch. We got a dozen tamales, ate half a dozen, and took the rest home to be eaten later.

Hangin' With My Nieces
My brother and his family went over to my parents house this evening so Rex and I went over also for dinner and family time. I tried to get good pictures of my nieces but they're so shy it's very difficult. They truly are beautiful little girls. These pictures just do not do them justice.

The Farmer's Market and a 'Stros Game
Saturday morning we picked up my sister and went to the Clear Lake Shores Farmers Market. I've been wanting to check it out for awhile now and I'm so glad we finally did. We drank delicious hibiscus water and walked around and bought olive oil, honey, peaches, and ground beef.
Unfortunately, they lost but we had a great time together and that's all that really matters.

Flashback Friday
This is the last picture Rex and I took as boyfriend and girlfriend. The morning of our wedding I woke up around 6am after going to sleep at 3am. I went and woke up my sister so she could drive me to my house (a two hour drive) to get new contacts since I had lost my left contact the night before. On our way back to the beach house we ended up on the same ferry as Rex. The three of us went up to the deck of the ferry and my sister snapped this picture. I love it.

Ghetto TiVo
Rex and I are ghetto and we don't have cable. That means we don't have TiVo or DVR and can't record tv. So tonight our neighbors invited us to dinner at the exact same time that Hell's Kitchen is on. Like I said, we don't have cable so I have no choice but to watch network shows and HK is my current fave so I really didn't want to miss it. Well I got this bright idea that I could record TV with my iPad! It totally worked! I propped my iPad on the coffee table facing the TV and started recording. When we got back from dinner it had recorded 50 minutes and 4 seconds which luckily was the entire episode so I got to see the end and everything. I felt a little ghetto but also clever at the same time. When I showed my sister what I had done she laughed her ass off. And then we watched the episode together.
