The story of my engagement ring

When Rex purposed in Hawaii he gave me a beautiful diamond ring. I loved it. I wore it everyday for three years. 

Until April 2012. 

Apparently, I had taken off my ring to put product in my hair. Well I took it off and forgot to put it back on immediately. We went out that night to Boondoggles and got really trashed. Two days later when I finally noticed my left ring finger was bare I freaked out and searched everywhere for it. But it was no where to be found in Rex's house. I searched everywhere! To this day I have no idea what happened to it or if someone found it and took it. When we finally decided on a date for the wedding and started to plan it I got so upset about not having an engagement ring. Seriously, who wears an engagement ring for three years and loses it months before the wedding? Only me. 

To my surprise my wonderful husband surprised me with a second proposal and a second ring a few weeks before the wedding. He went out and bought me a cheap one because he knew how much I wanted to have one. I didn't care at all what it looked like or how small it was. I had an engagement ring on my finger once again so I was happy. 

I still wish I had my old ring back. It was so beautiful and special to me. 

Move In Day

Today we moved our bed to the apartment and slept there, in our new apartment, as a married couple. Wow. So today we are moving in everything else. 

Wedding Crashers

Our wedding was so beautiful and awesome that we had two groups of crashers.

First, I saw this guy in a red hat walking around and I knew he wasn't invited. I grabbed Rex and went up to him and his friend. I was like, "Hey, we don't know you. What are you doing?" and he replied with, "Yeah, we were invited by some guy. We are staying at that house two doors down." Hmmm. I was skeptical but since we are really cool  (and there was a possibility that someone we knew actually had invited them) we went ahead and let them stay for awhile.

Later, my uncle comes up to me and says there's a surprise for me at the fire. I walk over there and see a guy dressed like Captain Jack Sparrow. After he kissed my hand he insisted I punch him in his cod piece. I did. It. was. hilarious.

This is him blowing his horn as loud and as long as he could. Such a nice gift.

We Should Be On Our Honeymoon

But alas we are not. For two reasons. One being Carnival employees are incompetent. And the other reason is because I am incompetent and couldn't find my passport the day we were supposed to leave.

We never intended on going on a honeymoon because we couldn't afford it. But two weeks before the wedding my dad called and said he was getting us tickets for a cruise out of Galveston.

I got married Yesterday!! It was seriously the best day of my life! I still can't believe it really happened..

Worst Thanksgiving Ever

I woke up Thursday morning to aunt Flo and spent the whole day in bed throwing up. I didn't get to spend any time with my aunt and uncle and barely talked to my cousin and his girlfriend. It was my first time meeting her and she was really sweet.  I felt like I was dying it hurt so bad.

When I woke up the next morning I was so hungry. I hadn't eaten anything the day before so I was ready to feast on some thanksgiving leftovers. Sadly I was told that there were no left overs and no one thought to save me a plate (wonderful family, huh?). So I spent the day with my two little cousins shopping since it was Black Friday. My grandmother gave each of us $40 so I bought an awesome red pea coat and they found their dresses for the wedding. 

On Saturday my grandmother woke up sick. She wanted to stay so I had to convince her a little bit and help her get packed. On the way home we took 290 instead of I-10 and I think I liked it more. 

Today Rex and I spent the day doing wedding stuff and looking for an apartment. I cannot wait to marry that guy. He truly is the best. I love him so much!! Less than a week till the wedding :)

Wedding Wednesday

Just two weeks and two days until the big day!!

I only have a few last minute things to buy.

Bridesmaids gifts and I have to organize the welcome bags for out of town guests who are staying the weekend with us.

So far it's all stress free!! 

I can't wait to be married.

Wedding Update

We pretty much have everything done. 

Invitations are out, all deposits are paid, and everyone has their clothes.

The only major thing left to do is to get our wedding bands.

Phew! It's been completely stress-free so far.

Weekend Wrap Up

Saturday I went shopping with my sister Deanna for her maid of honor dress. I'm only having three bridesmaids and their each wearing a different dress so we had to find the perfect one that came in the right color and could still be worn again in the future. We went to a few places but didn't find anything so we met up with our parents at the Olive Garden for lunch. They were spending the day with my niece, Madison!

After lunch we all went to Alfred Angelo to find Madison's flower girl dress. We found it and also found Deanna's at the same time. She is going to be the sweetest little flower girl.

She was so cute and sweet! Love her so much!

And after that we went to the Pumpkin Patch!!

She even made a little friend. So cute!

I had a great day :) I love my family!

You Are What You Eat

After watching a few documentaries about food the other day I decided

 it was finally time for me to stop all the bullshit and get healthy. 

Not only that, but I'm getting married in two months

and I need to look and feel my best!

So yesterday I spent the day eating all of the things I wouldn't be able

to eat anymore once I stared my new diet lifestyle.

This morning I woke up and went grocery shopping at Froberg's farmers market. 

I bought 3 oranges, 3 apples,  a yellow bell pepper, a tomato and garlic.

One days worth of fruits and veggies was only $6.67!

(I usually spend more than that on just one meal!)

So not only am I getting healthy, but

 I'm also going to save money and feel better.

Rex is totally on board and being super supportive.

I know if I have him there to back me up and not eat

 ice cream in front of me, I'll be alright.

Today is day one.

Children's Museum

Today my sister and I went to the Children's Museum with our brother, sister-in-law, and niece. We played and danced and Madison had a great time. She has kitty face paint in that picture. She's so cute!

We are spending two night at the San Luis Hotel on the Seawall in Galveston for my 25th birthday!
