Wordless Wednesday

TMI

So for the past two weeks by boobs have been really tender and sore. When Rex hugs me, it hurts. When I sleep on my stomach, it hurts. When I walk without a bra on, it hurts. Of course I got scared so i immediately called my gyno. She said I need to take Tylenol for the pain and drink less caffeine. As soon as she said caffeine I knew that's what it had to be. I've been drinking one to two cokes every single day. It's really hurting me and I see that so now I know I need to stop drinking sodas forever. It's going to be hard. I crave coke every day. It's sick really. And it has to end NOW! Tomorrow I will drink nothing but water with lemon!

Just Another Boring Monday

It's still cold and rainy so Rex had the day off. Again. It's cool because we get to hang out all day but it sucks because he's not making money.
We started the day by grabbing breakfast at Los Ramirez. It's Rex's favorite place ever. They make a good huevos con pappas so that's what we both got. It was amazing. Like it always is.

And after that we went to Home Depot for supplies to do a few repairs to the new place. Thank goodness we received a bazillion Home Depot gift cards from our wedding.
Here's a close up of Rex's favorite type of wood. Poplar. It has these pretty purple areas with some green areas also. Its' really pretty. It looks like a pistachio.

Rex's car insurance was expired so I called up and added him to my policy. It was so cool. It's the first legal thing we have together. It was only $14 for the remainder of this month for him. Since I added him I received a multi car discount and a discount for being married. All in all we will be paying around $75 for the two of us for a month. I was paying $50 just me so yeah, we saved a ton of money on our car insurance! Score!

Tonight I watched the first episode of The Carrie Diaries on the CW. We don't have cable or Internet in the new apartment yet so I watch what I can. It wasn't bad. I kinda liked it. Her love interest is really cute. I'll probably watch a few more episodes and see what it's all about.

Sad Day

Why has it been a sad day?

• It is cold and rainy.
• The Texans lost to the Patriots.
• I only left the house once to go to the grocery store.
• Rex is napping and I want someone to talk to.

 



 I feel really bad for my dogs. It's really hard on them. I know they just want to be outside running around in the sun. But they can't because the sun has been nonexistent lately. I should probably take them to the beach soon. If it ever stops raining..

Saturday

Today we moved our bed into the apartment so we are finally going to sleep here tonight! My parents brought us our Christmas present, the TV. My dad and Rex mounted it on the wall while my mom and I watched.

We need some sort of book shelf to put under it now. Something to hold the many, many movies we have accumulated. What I have there now is not big enough and obviously looks like shit.

 We had an early dinner at a place called Gina's. It was really good delicious Italian food. I did not take any pictures of my food this time. next time I will because there will be a next time. It was really good.

But anyways, here is a beautiful shot of a single pink rose after the rain. I just had to stop to take a picture of it.

Yesterday

I fell asleep to this...

And woke up to this lovely surprise...

That's my cousin Jamie. Its not that I don't like her (because I have to love her since she's family) but she attempted to steal my thunder at my wedding so I'm really pissed at her right now. However, her son is really cute and I do look forward to seeing him.

Hooray for Friday!

I got off work early and spent some quality time with my babies.  The weather was perfect. 

Thank goodness it's Friday!

888 Bistro

Tonight Rex and I had dinner at 888 Bistro on El Camino in Clear Lake. Neither one of us had been there before.I'm glad we tried it because it was so delicious. I orders the wonton soup with my water and it came out immediately. It was amazingly good. I always judge Chinese restaurants by their wonton soup; it's my fave. Rex ordered the spicy garlic shrimp
and I ordered the beef with asparagus.

 It was cooked in a delicious sweet glaze. It was so good. After your meal, instead of just a fortune cookie, you get half of an orange. As well as a fortune cookie, of course.  

It's a good place. I'll definitely eat there again. Maybe tomorrow?

This is 40

Tonight we had a date night and saw a movie.  It was really funny. Judd Apatow is a comedic genius. He has mastered the romantic comedy thing.

If I could sleep with any celebrity in the world, it would be Paul Rudd..

Our Uneventful Day Off

Rex was off today because it's raining. Conveniently, I also had the day off so we got to spend the day together.

We started the day with breakfast at the Egg & I

 

After that we went home and took a nap. It's a tough life.

On another note. Look at what this horrible weather did to Sheila. Covered her in leaves.

Pound Puppy Porter

After I dropped Rex off at work this morning I stopped to take these pictures.

I went to a drive-thru for breakfats and the lady working there gave me two milkbones for my dogs. It was so nice and enexpected.

I got off at 4, picked up Rex, and we went to Galveston to try the new Pound Puppy Porter at Brews Brothers.

When we got home we discovered that we had received the discs of pictures from the professional photographer. I can't wait to print them out and put them in all our new picture frames.

Lazy Sunday

Today we moved a few more things into the apartment. We went and had brunch at Los Ramirez then picked up a few things at Home Depot. After ALL that of course we needed a nap. Haha. Two people and two dogs sleeping on one couch. I wish there had been someone else there to take a picture of it. It was hilarious. After that it was off to subway and back home for a classy dinner on the coffee table. Now it's American Dad DVDs til I fall asleep. Good night.

Texans v. Bengals

The Texans made it to the playoffs!! And I got to go to the game with Rex and my parents and brother! It was so much fun!! And we won! It was awesome. Super Bowl, here we come!!



We tailgated and ate some amazing steaks and baked potatoes.

Sylvan Beach

This morning I took Rex to work since his car is still not fixed and we made a little detour to our spot where the tankers go by.

On the way home the ladies and I stopped at Sylvan Beach to chase the birds.

They had a great time. 

 I wish it hadn't started raining so we could have stayed longer.

Later I spent a few hours babysitting my niece Madison. My brother and SIL went to Lowe's to buy paint for the girl's rooms and took Emily with them. So I stayed with Madi and watched Dora, played music and read books. It was so much fun. I love that little lady so, so much!
