Five Things

1. We are currently in the process of talking about having a baby soon. I'm so excited yet a little nervous.

2. Tomorrow marks three months as a married woman. Our relationship/love has grown so much in the last few months and in so grateful to have such a wonderful husband. I have the day off and so does Rex so we plan on doing something fun together.

3. I miss my sister. She was here this past weekend and it was so good hanging out with her. She's my best friend and I wish we could hang out more often.

4. Hydra Melody. A local band from San Antonio. Rex saw them at scout bar and thought I would like them so he bought their cd for me. Good thing he did because I love it.

5. I am so beyond over this cold weather. Come back summer. I miss you.

A Gift For The Husband

After work I came home to find Rex hanging out, drinking beers, with his friends Ducey and Jesse. We sat there and drank a few Amber's before Rex left to see his daughter. Ducey made up an excuse to stay and informed me that he wanted to get Rex a gift. Since he's such a good friend. So we jumped in his truck and drove to the mall. For our wedding Rex gave his groomsmen (Ducey was one of them) a badass glass mug with their names and the date of the wedding on it. So Ducey wanted to get Rex one. I thought it was a great idea. He loved it.

Bring Your Husband To Work Day

My boss needed some closed files and junk put away into storage and since Rex has a truck and lots of muscles he came with me to help. It took us and hour and we made $100!

After that we had lunch at the best place ever, Juan Mon's. The lady there already knows what I want. I heard her tell the cook in Spanish as I was walking in. Is that cool or sad?

Chili Cook-off: Round 2

Saturday morning Rex went surfing with his friend (my friend Leah's husband) Michael so I spent the day with my sister. That night we went to the cook-off again and had a great time! On the way I snapped this beautiful sunset shot.

Belated Birthday Dinner

Last night we met my maternal granma, my uncle Kenny, and my mom at Pappas Seafood to celebrate my (belated) birthday with dinner and cheesecake. Good times.

Going Home

Most of the time traffic is miserable and it sucks driving home. 

But on some days I see the sun setting and I just soak up the beauty.

 It makes my Tuesday drive home a little easier.

Thirty Before Thirty

1. Have a baby. Maybe two.

2. Finish my degree. I'm so close yet still so far.

3. Buy a house.

4. Get paid for my photography.

5. Buy Rex a better wedding band.

6. Sew my own clothes. And my kids'.

7. Learn Spanish.

8. Go on a honeymoon. Maybe Hawaii.

 That's all I have so far. 

Adventures In Babysitting

Last night I babysat my nieces so my brother and sister-in-law could go out to celebrate her 30th birthday.

We played, ate dinner and watched Dora.

We woke up early to watch the sunrise together.

We spent the day shopping and walking along the strand. 

And stopped for a few (organic) beers at Brew's Brothers.

After that we played in the sand and took a nap together.
