Five on Friday

1. I started my period this morning and it made me cry. No baby this month. But we've decided to stop "trying" because people say it happens when you stop trying.

2. We met our friend Chris at Sam's Boat and ate lunch outside overlooking the water. It was nice but the food was disappointing.

3. I need to find a cute dress for Rex's cousins wedding next weekend. I'm thinking a maxi dress with sleeves if I can find one.

4. Free Press Summer Fest is tomorrow and I'm not going again for the second year in a row. My sister is though. I'm so mad at her for not buying me a ticket when she bought hers months ago. She did that last year too. I should've known.

5. Rex has been hanging out with one of our neighbors alot and they've been trying to get me and his girlfriend together because apparently we would get along.

Summer is officially here

What can I say? Life is pretty boring right now. Not much is going on over here just the usual. Summer is FINALLY and officially here and it is getting HOT! I foresee a future of long days on the lake, trips to the river to float, America's birthday at the beach house, and alot of baby making. I'm so happy and extremely excited about the next six months.

And no one has ever read them. But it doesn't matter. I do this for myself only. And that's okay.

Memorial Day

We went swimming at the yacht club and drank margaritas in the sun.  

Then we went cruising around the lake and enjoyed the beautiful day together.

Memorial Day Weekend

On the lake. All day. All weekend. We ate brunch at the yacht club. I ran into my old best friend and it was totally awkward and uncomfortable. We played on the lake all day and went to Cabo at night. 

Rex and I had so much fun riding the tube together. Hearing him laugh uncontrollably was music to my ears.

My cousin Sean invited his friend Collin to come out with us and he got so drunk and was being so annoying. He was talking to girls who were there with guys and started an argument and got kicked out of the bar. It was so embarrassing. I've never experienced anything like that before. Some people just can't hang. 

Spring Cleaning

Today I went to my parents house and helped them clean out there garage. I've been using that place as storage for far too long. It was actually fun going through all my old stuff. My mom is somewhat of a pack rat so it was tough getting her to throw things away that were "still good" yet never used and kept for years. If I hadn't been there they would have kept everything. After that my mom cooked us dinner and we sat around and watched tv as a family.

Five on Friday

1. This weekend we celebrate those that have fought and died in battle protecting our freedom. I will honor my friend Jacob Molina who we lost last year in Afghanistan.

2. Having my sister here for the summer has been the best. I love her and we have so much fun together.

3. I haven't been surfing in over a month. I need to go with Rex next time for sure.

4. I really, really want to go camping at the river sometime soon.

5. Baby... We are still trying to make a baby.

The biggest pig ears I've ever seen

Rex brought home treats for the girls from Molly's Mutt House. 

They were extremely satisfied.

I'm completely useless.

I was off so I hung out with my sister. We rode jet skis and one of them broke. So then we just did nothing.

The best tamale in the world

It's made with brisket and it's delicious.

Poor Mya really wanted some.

Family Dinner Night

My mom made ravioli for dinner and my brother and his family came over to eat. My SIL brought over Death by Chocolate and oh my is it soo good. My sister and I played with the girls after we ate and I stayed the night at my parents house.

Crawfish Anyone?

My dads friend has a block party crawfish boil each year on memorial weekend. My whole family goes and it's always a good time. This year my dad roasted a pig along with the crawfish. It was so delicious.

Five on Friday

1. I was able to cross off four things from my list of 100 during this past trip.

2. My sister comes home for the summer and I'm so excited!

3. I took pictures of John Carter today and they came out so cute.

4. I need to buy a solid black background for pictures next time.

5. The party tomorrow is going to be so much fun.

Back To Life, Back To Reality

After a lovely week of not working it was so hard to get up for work this morning. But alas I did. Grrr.

We're Home!

Finally! After a three hour car ride plus two flights and another hour car ride - we're home at 2 and so exhausted.

Our Last Day in California

We spent the day relaxing at the hotel. We smelled smoke so we went outside to find the source. It was a small grass fire on the other side of the highway. 

I'm gonna miss this view. But I'm so excited to get home to my babies tomorrow.

We went to a local sushi restaurant for dinner. I'm not a huge sushi fan so I ordered the chicken sun. The menu totally cracked me up. It was a little too hippie for me. But the decor was cool. We were inside but it looked/felt like we were outside.
